Christine Larson was born into a family where creativity was encouraged and supported. She attended Viroqua Public Schools and went to U.W. Madison and received a degree in Art. After many moves and many odd jobs, she found her way back to Viroqua. Chris opened Art Vision in 1995 as a full time watercolorist and offered custom picture framing. She has two children Luke 14 and Lydia 11. It is now thirteen years later and she has come full circle. Chris has closed her store and devotes herself full time to her family and to painting. Chris is fascinated with the emotions connected to color. “I begin a piece by choosing the dominant “mood” color. As I paint, I stay open to new directions the painting will take. I know the painting is done when all of the darks are in and the final “spark” is there.” She strives to convey on paper or canvas the unseen forces connecting all things. “In my studio work, my goal is to place figures in an otherworldly dream landscape. In my Plein Air landscapes, I like to show Nature’s unseen vibrations.” Christine Larson Noble is a member to Brave new Artists and is a long time member of the Vernon Co. Plein air Artists.
