I went camping near Cedarburg this spring and was inspired by the different clouds I saw while driving around each day.

Sometimes I look at a painting awhile and decide it needs to get another layer glazed over.  

In this case, it toned the color down a notch and added energy.  It also sold at the very next art fair ....

Our group painted inside our local greenhouse today to escape the rain.  It was a challenge to keep it simple and not get carried away with too much information.

This scene is a few miles down the road from where I live and this larger and more colorful painting was inspired by a small watercolor I painted on location there a few years ago.
